Simply switch your prop to the "Footpad" option and plug the footpad into the appropriate jack. Works fine. The cord is a decent lengh, and the pad itself is pretty small - a little larger than one's hand. If you have a wide pathway people will be walking though, you should probably purchase the larger footpad. Overall, works great, but may be too small for some people!

although the prop I have this connected to is sound activated, having a concealed foot pad to trigger it gives me the chance to activate the prop when I want, and really scare the kids. I highly recommend using this for spontaneous, hands-free scares.
