My son loves this costume. We first got the black batman (medium) and the bag said size 8-10 for ages 5-7. It is huge and my son is tall for his age. I gave it to our neighbor who has 8 year old and she even thought it was big. We bought this blue batman costume in size small 4-6 (ages 3-4) at Spirits in SF. Again my son loves it (he will be 5 next week) and it has room to grow. Within no time i noticed a hole under the arm and now it is getting bigger. It was the last one with the muscle chest in the store, so i will most likely fix it myself. He got the spiderman size small with the muscle chest a couple of years ago and it is just now starting to look used with little rips. Also, the spider man size small 4-6 (ages 2-4) is much smaller than the batman size small.

My son opened it and has been wearing it around the house, even though it is a bit too big and the bulky chest hits him in the chin. So even before Halloween gets here, it is being utilized!
