I bought these candles so that I could continue our haunted house Halloween decor in a couple of hard to access places where I didn't want to put real candles. Battery operated candles always look a bit fake, but for where I was putting these they were perfect. Only thing that surprised me is that when I dropped one of them (see hard to access spot) the hard plastic shattered. Glad I bought extras!
