Comments:

I have a huge Halloween party every year and tend to keep an eye out for more unusual decor. I prefer Halloween to be scary & gruesome. Cute little kittens dressed up in witch hats do not go in my house. I decided to buy the crawling zombie after visiting the Spirit store in San Francisco. I probably would not have bought it from the catalog. This prop shows off much better in person. I also love the fact that it is remote controlled (no wires!) and can crawl in four different directions! For my party, I left him sticking out from under a cloth-draped table. I gave the remote to one of my guests, who had him crawl out whenever people were nearby to great effect. Loved it! The only con I have for this is that it doesn't seem to get as much traction on polished hardwood floors. I didn't try him out on other surfaces, but I guess a dense carpet might work better.

Mine Does Not Work

Comments:

I just received mine the other day, I was so excited to get it because it would be a great addition to my website. I have two problems with this item. The first, and probably most important, is that it does not work at all. I installed all new batteries; I even replaced the two AAA batteries that came pre-installed because they were corroded. Yes that's right, a brand new item costing [$]and the batteries it comes with are corroded. Yes this item looks awesome, but since it does not work at all, why waste your money?

Saw it and had to get it. Didn't realize until after I had thrown the box away the range for the remote is only about 3 feet! I found what appears to be a coiled antenna, so I unraveled it but that didn't help. Changed out all the batteries and still no better. Can't recommend now for the price if I have to be right beside him just to get him to move.

Short Range for Remote

Comments:

I must be going through another mid-life crisis to be buying so much Halloween stuff! Fell in love with Sydney (what I named him) and adopted him. First noticed that left is right and right is left on the remote. Then I walked just a few steps away and he wouldn't work at all. I literally can't be over a couple of feet away. All new batteries, too. He has what appears to be a wire antenna that extends over 5 feet, but stretching it out doesn't do any better than keeping it all coiled up. Now I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with him. Can't recommend for the price.

Fell in love with this prop the moment I saw it, but then saw it was remote only! Why Spirit why? Us big haunters don't have time to fiddle about with remotes. I like to let my props like this one roam free range! Revamp for next year please!

Love this guy! so creepy and lifelike. the only thing I have a problem with is I wish he had a setting where he could be sound or motion activated and not just controlled by the remote.
