The costume was perfect. The fit is pretty true to size. I added a full black petticoat (tutu) under the dress and it gave me a beautiful and curvacious look. It is extremely sexy without baring it all. The skirt is short but since it billows out it doesn't seem that short on. Finding a bra that wouldn't show was tricky. I don't think it looks much like a charming captain...once I completed my look, I think I looked more like a sexy ring leader. I can also see this costume being a sexy little gothic/victorian vampire...has potential for redoing it by changing up the accessories. Got loads of compliments and looked exceptionally pretty in it! :)

I tried this constume in the store & fell in love. It's so classy, comfortable, and cute without being inappropriate. Perfect for office Halloween party! I got this for my work's costume party (held during work day in the office). The fabric used is very high quality and does not have the cheap polyester sheen. Black fabric is velvety, scarlet fabric has classy pattern woven in, the layered lace looks expensive, and plastic buttons look like brass and have very detailed embossing on them. I am 5'2", 135 lb, got Medium and fits great. It has a concealed zipper in the back and easy to put on. Once on, it's very comfortable and warm I will be able to sit in my office chair and work in this the whole Halloween day. The waist curves in, then bottom flares out nicely, so it makes your waist look skinny. I wear a short petticoat right under this costume to make the bottom poof out more. The length is little too short (comes right beneath my underwear), so I'm wearing an above-knee poofy black skirt. You could also wear black leggings or tight pants. The open neck was a little revealing for office setting, so I'm wearing a black V-neck top underneath, which blends in with the costume. To complete the look, a pirate hat and black boots are a must! Overall, it's a very good value for the price! Super happy!

Okay - so first of all, I am a size 5-6, I tried on a medium, fit a little loosely, so I tried on a small, fit like a glove and it looked AWESOME! I love that it is a velvety feel (not cheap feeling), the design is very cool, fits good in all the right places and just looks awesome overall! I would consider this costume if you like this type of stuff and I def. plan on wearing this to Rens Fest

Mainly bought it because the boots are cute! Love the jacket-like dress. Pretty pricey but worth it! Tried it on @ the store, I'm 112lbs and 5'1, I bought a small and it fits perfect!

I'm using this costume for my first Halloween in college, aka parties. It's a really cute outfit, and is very comfortable and flattering. However, it runs quite small and is VERY short. I definitely recommend a petticoat, because otherwise my butt cheeks will literally be visible.

This costume fits well and super comfortable and its is true to size! Also great quality! It is worth getting!! Make sure you get a black petticoat to wear underneath it and highly recamend to get the hat! I am between a size 12-14 and the size Large for this costume was perfect for me!

This is an awesome costume, though it runs a little small, being a Leg Avenue costume. The sleeves run right to your wrist, so they aren't super long, i.e. covering your hands. It fits great, looks cute, and I would definitely recommend it.
